Critical Text
Words by Maria Teresa Salvati-Spot of Beauty
“Eva is a contemporary photographer who employs portraiture, landscape, and documentation to evoke emotions and open up new worlds, taking one by the hand, guiding through exploration, and embarking on a real and imaginative journey—tools for personal growth. Photography is a quest for self-discovery, a modus vivendi that makes one feel alive, constantly evolving, and fluid toward surpassing personal limits.
Places and bodies become vehicles to delve deep, to reconnect with childlike curiosity and wonder, the ability to marvel at the unknown, certain that beyond form and space lies the possibility of reliving and rediscovering oneself in a denied dimension. The periphery, the detail, the lines, the face, the body, and the water become metaphors to accompany their exploration, ultimately journeys that reassemble broken threads and scattered pieces seeking to reconstruct the puzzle of life in an oscillating movement that provides a sense of protection and love.”
